They removed the option to get a 7800 on the 9400, so now it's integrated 950, x1400 or 7900gs. Just a FYI.

Edit: Ditto for the e1705 on the Dell US site.

Its been that way in the UK since the 7900 became an option, which is ridiculous as they are selling the x1400 for the same price as the 7800 unit here, along with charging over £400 for the upgrade to a 7900.

US Dell online customer here. I spent a lot of time trying to *not* get the 7800 installed as the video card for the replacement notebook that Dell is sending for one that had video problems. I think the fact that Dell is not currently offering the 7800 with any new online E1705 order may have helped my cause a little. It was no easy task to get the change authorized though I assure you.

They very much wanted me to have an exact replacement exchange of the previous order even though I offered to pay any difference in price to get the 7900. I spent unreal amounts of time working outside their tech support, then with them trying to get the 7800 to work correctly. Thus I wanted to not have another 7800 to deal with ever again.

Regardless the interesting thing I noticed was about the overall system pricing of the E1705 I had paid about a month ago was just a few dollars off of the exact same spec E1705 with the 7900 today. Barely a day ago though there was a hefty upgrade cost to go from the 7800 to the 7900. Anyhow my replacement will have the 7900 (with no extra cost to me) and I guess I got lucky.
