Hi all, just realised that the screen looks like water waves whenever the background changes into dark background. Is that a problem or I should ring Dell for changing a display?

Link This is the case with 90% of all laptop monitors. Went with a friend to an electronics shop recently to test - all flickered. You should not be able to see it without camera thou...I would def call in for a replacement.

with camera, just become so obvious, but with eyes, I can see it when it is dark. Is that a faulty screen?

At what brightness setting are you able to see it flickering? It should not be there at full brightness - only when you try to dim.

Edit: You might want to have a look at Dithering. For example when setting up my Linux I have to manually disable Dithering in Nvidia config, otherwise it is quite annoying especially on dark background.
