Any one having trouble with the 700m and out?

I have a 6 year old toshiba tv that supports only composite, not svideo, and its not being detected by my 700m. I also have a fairly new sony tv and that gets picked up by my 700m.

The problem is that these stupid intergrated intel cards SUCK. It wont give you TV OUT buttons on the display settings unless it detects a TV! But its horrible at detecting TVs!!!

Anyone who has an idea please respond! even if you dont own a 700m. [ :D]

700m doesn't support composite video out, only s-video. I gather that your Sony TV has s-video input. I had a similar porblem and found the answer on the Dell Support forum. Sorry to deliver bad news...

Don't they send the parts for composite video? Shouldn't it support composite?

    I don't have a 700m so I don't know.

not true, the 700m comes with a s-video to composite cable. you should have gotten it and a mini pin to rca sound cable. you may want to download the graphics driver from intel website (i believe it is newer than dell's). and then do some playing with the display configuration. also ensure that dual mode is selected in bios.
