    Hi there...

    I really want to order a 700m, but am very frightened of this audio defect. To my knowledge (based on my extensive reading on the matter) the problem has not been fixed/found. Therefore, is every unit affected? Is it simply luck of the draw? (If the defect exists when the unit arrives, I will be seriously choked, and back it will go...)

    I really hate to go through the trouble. Is a 700m really worth the effort??

    (I really like the Sony VAIOs, but I cannot stand their insistence on the memory stick standard).
