    700m harddrives

    does anyone know what speed the harddrives aer for the 700m? Dell does not post it, (or atleast i couldn't find it). Can someone please post a break down of the different harddrives available.

    for the 700m they should be 5400rpm. Dell has some 7200rpm, but none for the 700m

    Yeah, that is outdated. Dell upgraded majority, if not all, of their HDD a month or two ago to the 5400, and have yet to update their website. I'm 99% sure that the hdd for 700m is 5400rpm.

    not that i know of...but it seems like they are changing things every month. Like with the OS cd. That wasn't an option last month, and now all of the sudden they want you to pay 10 bucks to buy something that you already have to pay for. It was only a few months ago that you could totally customize everything on an inspiron system.

    The best thing to do is if you are unsure of anything call Dell and verify.
