    Hello,

How do I know how long the battery will last? Not about the longevity, but with a full charge, is it going to last 4 hours or 5 hours?

I know the Windows-built-in batter indicator shows 90% or 77% of remaining charge, but not in terms of hours. IBM Thinkpad has battery maximizer with many useful information on battery, but I cannot seem to find such a program in Dell 700m.

I have just received 700m yesterday with 8 cell. Overall, I'm pleased with it except the keyboard. This is like a keyboard in 10" screen notebook, not good. Dell should have utilized the space in sides to make the keyboard bigger.

If you know how to find out remaining time on battery, please let me know.

    Thanks.

hey Myung, if you look at the standard Power Meter that's accessible from your system tray (by double-clicking) or Control Panel area it should have a "time remaining" indicator.

I agree with your take on the 700m keyboard, it seems like they didn't utilize the space available and could have made the keyboard a little spacier.

My 700m's OS is XP home, and either on system tray or on power management in control panel, it does not show time remaining.

    It only shows % remaining.

hum... isn't there any Dell provided battery utilites?

    Thanks.

Just curious, currently, how many hours do you get with the Dell 700m? What were you doing during those hours?
