I've had my 700m for about 2 months and I've noticed the screen flickers every once in a while. I've read elsewhere about this problem. Is there any fix for this, or will it just get progressively worse until the screen stays black?

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

There should not be really any flicker while the computer is on. Maybe could be something loose, but I do not like opening up notebooks. If it gets worse get Dell to fix it.

I'd agree the connector between the motherboard and lcd is probably loose. You could see if there is an updated driver.

I'd go with checking for driver updates first. Maybe you want to try intel's site. A simillar problem happens with one of the Fujitsus and is resolved by the drivers available from intel.
