im thinking of ordering a dell laptop but im not sure which one.
I was thinking of getting a pM 1.8 for it and was wondering if there is a real difference between a pM 1.6 and 1.8. Also which one do you guys think is the better laptop. Thanks

What do you plan to do most of? Email and internet? Game? Travel? These answers help to direct since there are so many laptops made by Dell and each have their uses.

With that kind of usage in mind, really either will do. The 600m may be less expensive but the 700m gives you the wide screen, if you plan to watch DVDs on it, and the latest Intel processor, which is a touch more efficient at a higher clock speed. You really win with both. I own the 600m and have been extremly happy with it. It is light and very efficient.

Edit: D-roc beat me to the reply heh

I do not believe you would see a difference between the 1.6 and 1.8 for what you intend to do. I have heard very good results from the 600M as being reliable and lightweight. The 700M is Dells newest, it sports even a lighter weight than the 600M plus a clear widescreen. Its substantially more though, and people are just now starting to recieve theirs so reviews are still skimpy.

Hopefully a 600M and 700M owner will jump in here and add some opinions.
