You should be able to use it, and not have any problems.
You will need to install the linksys drivers/software from the cd that came with the card or off their site. Then you can disable your internal network card(right click on "my computer"-->select properties-->under the hardware tab click on device manager-->under network devices, right click on your internal network card, and choose disable.) The next time you want to use your internal card, you will need to go back and enable it.
After that, all you'll need to do is set up your network like you have previously when using the Linksys card like entering security password
Hope this helps,

[EDIT] I don't know if you'll have to do this because it should be disable if you use the steps above...I'm assuming that you have intel wireless pro. If you right click on the green satellite in your taskbar, choose disable radio. Like the step above, to enable it, the Intel Wireless Pro is under start menu-->programs. -
There you go . Someone replied and I did go through this so everything she mentioned is what I remember except one hidden thing in the Intel Pro card that should be disabled not enabled for Linksys and I would only know where it is if I played around and looked. I'm only mentioning it but wouldn't worry about it unless you can't get a connection, then I would tell you to just look around in the Intel configuration for something that offers you a choice to enable or disable. It's disable for Linksys but for people having a problem connecting their Intel it needs to be enabled. Too bad I can't tell anyone where it is unless I was able to look at it.
It would help alot of the people having trouble hooking up any of the intel Pro cards. It's typically not something you would consider looking at. Just keep it mind for you or mainly all the people having trouble getting wired with the Inel Pro cards!
