    Chose 1.8 GHz(+100)/60GB(+49)/256RAM/8Cell-Primary Battery(+99)/XP Home/media remote(+10)
    1526-750-25 = $782

I definitely need XP Pro for working .Net and was planning on upgrading it myself after formatting the disk. Thinking of calling in for changes:
    4 cell primary ( -$99)
    40GB default HD ( -$49)

With this 150$ deciding between 2year warranty(126) or XP Pro installed.(119) or both with 1.6 GHz(-100).

I have XP Pro CD which I bought and installed in my desktop and am planning to use this for my laptop too? Is it possible? remote anyuse?

I think the Dell coupon is for $750 off $1499. If you drop either the hard drive or battery you won't be able to use the coupon.

It is unlikely you’ll be able to use your XP Pro CD on a second machine without buying another license. If it is the retail version you may be able to take it off your desktop and put it on your laptop. If it is OEM, once you activate it they usually lock it to that machine. I’d look on eBay or Pricegrabber for a second copy.

teh XP PR sp2 I have is a a retail version. I was planning on using the changes dropped in to get additional years warranty. The other option was to go for XP Professional.

you want the bigger hd, the recovery partition takes up a lot. dont pay dell $120 to install xp pro for you. i installed it myself and reformatted so i got rid of all of the preinstalled dell crap that slows down the computer.
