I have a I9300 and it comes with a 90watt power supply. My old D600 has a 65 watt power supply and sometimes I hook it up to my 9300 when I'm on the road. I don't feel like spending 50+ for another 90 watt power supply. When I stick it into 9300 the computer tells me that its clocked down and that it wont run at optimal preformace. Fine by me since I'll most likey do something not really intensive. Anyway I've heard that a guy's battery's died after using the 65 watt power supply on a 9300 (well so he claims....that its the only reason...). Other ppl say that its ok if you do that and that. Does anyone know if there are any downsides for hooking up a 65 watt power supply to a 9300? The system is smart enough to detect the type of power supply wouldn't it just not boot if it was really bad? Dunno...anyone know anything about this?
