So I reinstalled Windows XP on my Dell 640m.

First question: My video chipset is an Intel 950. How come I can't find a driver for this card anywhere on Intels website and Dells? Both give me a link to the 945GM.

Second Question: I ran Dells ResourceCD and it doesnt detect my laptop properly!! It says my Laptop is a 710m, and so I cannot get the correct drivers from the CD...I have to download them. Not a real big problem but im wondering if anyone else had this issue?

1.) The Intel driver listed under Video card is the video card driver for your laptop. 945GM refers to the chipset since it is integrated. Some users have had problems trying to install this driver, so they've had to manually install it. ( Directions for manual install)

2.)yes this has been a common problem. If you really want the disc, you can call dell up and complain. They'll send it to you. Personally, I would just make your own disc.
