This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     640m -DVD drive not working

    My philips sdvd8820 DVD+RW drive isn't working all of a sudden. The device manager says the driver is missing or corrupted?

    Any ideas on how to fix this?

    Update: never mind... fixed it by going through the bios and doing a Dell Diagnostics scan. Weird...
