    How can I know the manufacturer of my 6400 screen(vista home premium)?? anyone?

    Inside the device manager, select monitor and then choose the plug and play moniter (or whatever the notebook display is called). Right click and select properties. Inside the properties menu, select the details TAB and under the Device Instance ID, if it says LGP then it is an LG Philips display or if it says SEC, then it is a Samsung display. I think AUO also makes a 15.4" display for Dell.
