From Dell's web site System Summary page after entering my service tag #

PY654 LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY, 15.4WXGA+, VIDEO ELEC. STDS. ASSOC., TLF, LGP

DT464 MODULE, LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY, 15.4WX+, LGP, 6400

I’m guessing I have an LG Panel? I’m also guessing that most people around here prefer this one?

I have to say I really like it even the glossiness. Only complaint is I’m guessing that the widescreen display resolution of 1400X900 distorts the tray and shutdown icons.

Correct on the panel. Correct on the people's preference. I have the SXGA+, which is an LG and it is a beauty
