I'd like to combine the partitions on my 6400, removing the D: drive completely and combining the HD space used for it with my C: drive, WITHOUT having to format my entire hard drive. Is there anyway to do this?
Also, I know that Media Direct also uses its own partition, but it only contains 2 GB. Well, I don't use Media Direct, and I'd like that 2 GB back as general hard drive space. This leads to this question:
Is there any possible way that I could combine all the possible hard drive space on my laptop into one partition, the C: drive?!?

Haha, at first I thought you were saying 'magic' as in, "I'd need parition magic to do that,' or it wasn't possible. But then I Google'd it. And realized how stupid I am. Thanks a lot! Downloading it now...

What about keeping Media Direct and whatever else is hidden in D drive and transfering the rest to C drive?

I'm not entirely sure what you mean, but at the least you will need to use the MD fix after messing with the partitions. -
I'm not sure what I mean either! I have what's supposed to be a 60 gig HD C:\ is 37.2 and the "back-up" D:\ is 12.5 I know this probably isn't the right thread to ask and I've seen it mentioned before but where's all my space or what's taking up all the hidden space. I'm mostly concerned with D:\ I don't have Dell Restore (that I'm aware of) and opted for the XP re-install disk.
So besides what I mentioned above, if I combine D:\ with C;\ will i still have MD and functionality?
