I have reformatted my old Inspiron 6400 in preperation of selling it, however I used to leave the Bluetooth module turned off the majority of the time when not needed to conserve power. The module was turned off at the time of the reformat. Since reformatting I cannot get the Bluetooth to work. I can see it in the BIOS and I have loaded the drivers, but it's still failing to work or recognise it.
Anyone got any ideas please?
Thanks

Seems I've answered my own question,

Fixed it.
The above is for people who've gone from Vista to XP, but it also works if you've just reformatted your Vista laptop, reinstalled Vista and got the same problem.

Just a FYI, the bluetooth is easy to get to.
Power the system off, and remove the main battery. There is a small compartment in the battery bay, which opens up. Inside you will find the bluetooth adaptor. You can easily check the connection if it ever gives you a problem again
