Just bought a 600M today(thursday). Much thanks to all the info from everyone comparing and providing feedback on the 8600, 9100, 600 vs 700M, and especially warning away from the 5150/5160!![:0]

    anyways, bought the 600M:

    Pentium M, 1.6GHZ, 14.1" SXGA
    64MB ATI 9000 Video
    512 ram
    60GB HD
    24Xcd-rw/dvdcombo
    intel pro/wireless 2200
and of course the 3 yr warranty w/on-site service(good for travelling/studying abroad too...in finland of all places!!)
    TTL before tax= $2125

now just waiting for it to arrive. here's the question - is it normal to not receive any confirmation code? it said i should via email w/in 2 days, but since i got a couple of deals ($125 off coupon and no delivery charge) i'm a little anxious that perhaps it did not go through. any thoughts??

thanks again for all the great info on this forum!!

You should immediately get a confirmation email that your order has been received. They won't send you the note that it's in process for 1-2 days.

My experience is they usually give me a generic ship date right after the order but both times mine has gotten to me much sooner. They will send an email updating you as soon as it ships. Your milage may vary.
