    Hi,
I got my 6000 D with the WSXGA+ screen last night. My wife finds the text a little small. I went into appearance and changed the DPI to 120. Short of changing the screen resolution, which I tried and it looked very blurry, is there anything I can do to increase the text size a little? On my desktop, if I hold down the CTRL key and move the mouse wheel, the text size gets larger and smaller. Is there any way to do this on the lappy?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hey Elevatorguy,

I don't know exactly when you are having this problem...is it all the time in Windows,...when you are on the net...??
If you are using the "TRULIFE" screen than there are many ways of solving it...all depends on where you are having the problem...if you can clarify I might be able to help :)

    6000's don't have truelife

the scrolling thing you're talking about - is it just zooming in and out in word/excel/etc.? If so, jus zoom out using the menue buttons above the document

a higher resolution will mean smaller text. You can further increase the DPI size, although then the icons in the bottom right go funny.

If its in Word, obviously just zoom in a little in the 'view' toolbar.

Or you can hold down the ctrl key and use the the scroll part of the touchpad.

Thanks for the replies guys. It's on the net that I am asking about. If anyone here is using a desktop with a Microsoft mouse with a wheel on top, hold down the CTRL button on the keyboard while spinning the wheel on the top of the mouse and watch the text size expand and shrink. Is there any way to do this to the laptop?

Plug in a mouse and try that same thing?

Any mouse does that. At least in my experience it has.

There should be a line at the sides of your touch pad right? Those are scrollers. Lowering the screen res is also possible with certain programs. Google for it.

For Internet Explorer just go to the View Menu and look under "Text Size"
Other browsers should have similar menus also
