    With the brightest setting for screen and WiFi on, 6 cell can give you 2 hours, and I guess 9 cell should give 3 hours.

    Dell Inspiron 6000d, Pentium M 750 (1.86 GHz/2MB Cache/533MHz FSB), 1GB (2x512MB) 400MHz DDR2 SDRAM, 80GB 5400RPM HD, 128MB ATI X300, 15.4" WSXGA+.

    About 4 hours with Wifi (9 cell) and highest brightness. 6 hours with brightness set at 80% with wifi off.
