In the UK (not sure about the US) Dell now seem to be only offering a 120gb 5400rpm drive on the xps, versus the 100gb 7200rpm drive they used to. Would this be as large a performance difference as I expect it to be?

    Cheers

they don't offer an upgrade anymore? interesting... well you can always get whatever you can and if you're unhappy with the drive simply buy a new one. By the way you also might be able to get the drive upgrade if you call them...

Ah, the reason im asking is because its 99% likely (though im still waiting for confirmation) that they have lost my laptop, and will have to replace it..

Keen to know if the speed difference is going to be a large performance hit, cause if it is i will make a fuss, if not im not that bothered..

even if it were not a big performance hit I would still make a fuss and try to get as much as I can

-Less 'Performance' (May or may not be noticed)
