    Anybody who ordered this configuration can tell me whether it comes as 512nb stick or 2x256?

    It comes with 2x256 - Dell always sells their RAM sticks in pairs, except for the XPS' which can have single 2GB sticks if I recall correctly.

    when you chose the memory option during the purchase, it told you if it was 1 or 2 dimms.

    whether you're getting 1 or 2 dimms depends on what you picked.
