URGH, i had a 2434$ xps 1530 IN MY CART which had a 200$ discount because it was over 1400$ PLUS it said it had an extra 100$ off AND i also added the 200@ coupon. it was down to 1934 when i checked the subtotal. This was all an hour ago.

I decided to reconfigure it to MAKE SURE its what i want and now i only get a 400$ discount for the same exact configuration!!!

WTF!! they changed the discount in the last HOUR!?!?!? UNCOOL

LOL. DeusEx is hilarious. He just LOVES Dell. I woulda thought you were the owner of the company, you never have anything bad to say about Dell.

I think its because he has all positive experiences, which is a good reason to say good things about dell....

i just value a company that offers good hardware for decent prices. I was looking into HP also and i found that they offered weak GFX cards in their computers, so that was not an option for me. I have owned an ASUS Z71V and a white macbook so far. I guess that gives me a good perspective because i can compare my computer to other brands...

My dell computer did have some problems but the Dell support has been great so far. You just have to know how to deal with them.

-they gave me a 50$ giftcard due to some slight paint imperfections on my notebook

-They replaced my LCD from grainy matte WXGA to an LG glossy WSXGA+ which is 100$ more expensive : free of charge.

-they sent me a replacement battery when mine was defective. I sent the defective one back.

After that kind of service i feel it is my responsibility to help out a company that takes care of its customers. besides my notebook came out to 1k and look at the hardware i got. I cant be happier than this. I mean people give bad rep to dell regarding all sorts of issues and the company is not perfect... but i mean come on guys, if you find any better deal from any other company tell me alright ?

Yeah, I just got a super deal on a 1530, couldn't resist, just had to take it. Got it for like 1200 bucks with all the bells and whistles (8600GT 250GB HD 2gig ram, dual batteries etc etc). Almost no downside to buying it as you can always cancel an order if you change your mind.

Actually, you are lucky. In Canada, discounts are much, much smaller. Right now, there is no discount at all on the 1530.

And there are never any online coupons other than $50 for under $950 or $100 for over $950. That's it.

I just had that happen to me. You have to start with the 999 verison and then upgrade everything. Then I got the discount back :)

I was playing around with building one and saw the $500 off which is awesome. Although tempting, I'm still not happy about going with the current resolution screen. It really isn't optimal for my needs. It was the reason I cancelled another order. If I were someone that could get away with the lower res screen, I would have jumped all over it.

When I start with the 999 and upgrade I get the $300 but then I only get the $200 gift card, I can't opt for the $200 off... any help?
