Seeing that it is a £70 jump up in price, is the extra 2MB worth it? Can't seem to find any benchmarks comparing a 2Ghz 2MB to a 2.2Ghz 4MB

I think it's worth the price... even though a lot of programs wont even stress either processor, I've used a pre-santa rosa laptop and now my current one, and I think in real world application, the santa rosa laptop with 4 mb L2 cache runs a lot better... 5-10%...

You could probably get one of the Penryn lower end processors (with 3MB cache) for about the same price without paying the premium once Penryn is available. This is just a guess though.

Ah I can't wait any longer lol.. we all keep waiting for new tech to come out it becomes an endless wait. I'm not too convinced that it is worth £70 for extra 2MB and 200mhz, if the price was more like £40 I would say yeah and go for it.

I'm already way way over my budget of £550.. standing at £700 now, christ!

The Jan sale 10% off voucher and £129.99 off offers are coming to an end in a couple of days, id feel happier jumping on it now i think

think of it this way, if it's 70 pounds extra... and you're going to have your computer for a minimal of 2 years, that's .25 pounds/day. Skip the McDonalds/starbucks once a week for a month or two and boom, you've made up for it in addition to slimming down and feeling healthier/ having a faster more productive machine.

If you're busting the budget already, I don't think its quite worth it. Games care little for the extra 2mb, and I'm sure I can wait a bit longer for audio rendering.

Quite happy to step up from t5xxx series, 7250 should nip just nice!
