guys, just reformatted my laptop. Trimmed my processes from 66 to 44. Is this good enough or can i do better? Can i uninstall my intel/pro wireless software and still get wifi connection with windows' own software? will it not uninstall the driver as well or just the application??

If you use Windows XP pro, you can get about 35-40 with Wireless Intel ON and some other Antivirus Programs. WIth WIndows MEdia Center I can't even turn the processes down to 45..

We have an optimize guide in our Dummy forums called "how to optimize your laptop" which gives you several tips on how to make your laptop even faster. I have mine trimmed down to 30 when no extra programs running.
