    40GB of e1405 formatted actual size

    May I ask what is the size of the 40GB HDD in e1405 laptop so I can know if I already deleted the hidden partition of the MediaDirect.

    A 40 gig hard drive should be somewhere around 37 gigs formatted.

    Windows shows mine as 35.8GB, does it mean that MediaDirect partiotion was not yet deleted?

    Yes, that most likely means that there is a hidden partition thats takin up that much space. For example, my 60 gig hard drive was 56 formatted, so like I said before a 40 gig will only lose like 2 or 3 gigs formatted, and u have over 4.

    It doesn't necessarily mean that there are hidden partitions. Usually, if you get a 40Gb HDD, it comes out to be something like 37 or 38 GB of actual memory. Not to mention, windows takes up about 10 GB

    Yes, thats exactly what I said, then the kid said he only has 35.8 gigs left, so where are the other 2 besides a hidden partition. And windows takin up 10 has nothing to do with it, hes talkin about the HD space in total, not whats available after installs.
