I ordered my Alienware on the 6th of August, and apparently it won't be shipped out until the 10th of September... which I did not know when ordering it. No notices about delays or anything popped up, so I figured that the timeline on the build page (which was about 10 days, the 16th or maybe the 18th for Monday) would be correct..
Does anyone know why exactly it would be so long? I mean, I know that laptops are probably a hassle to build, but... 40+ days? Really? Has anyone else received notification or whatever about components that have to be ordered? The chat and email service reps tell me literally nothing except "yeah don't worry we'll ship it on the 10th". I wouldn't be such a stickler but I'm moving and kiinda wanted to have my new laptop while i have nothing else in my apartment.
Anyways, here's the list of things that should be going into the alienware.

    16GB Dual Channel DDR3L at 1600MHz
    500G hybrid NV spring
    NVIDIA@ GeForce@ GTX 880M graphics
    4th Generation Intel® Core™ i7-4710MQ processor (Quad Core, 6MB Cache, up to 3.5GHz w/ Turbo Boost)
    17.3" 120Hz WLED FHD (1920 x 1080) TrueLife Display w/3D Bundle
(pretty sure that's all the stuff they wouldn't have in stock?)

edit: Shoot, I'm sorry, I never realized there was another place for this. Don't know how to move this thread though. Sorry!
