While changing around Wifi cards in my M1710, I noticed a third, single wire lead inside there, not connected to anything.

I'd venture a guess that it is for a WIRELESS BROADBAND card, which means that there is probably a built-in antenna already in the M1710!!

Now, the question is, if it is for the wireless broadband (EVDO), where would the card go? If you remove the 3945ABG card, then you lose Wifi.

Anyone with a Latitude D-series with the built-in broadband know how/where the broadband card is installed?

Maybe i'm completely off base...if so, anyone know what this lead is for?
