As far as I know any Nokia when combined with Nokia Pc Suite software should let you do this. But I think it only lets you do it when connected via USB and not bluetooth.

Check out the N95 8GB or one of the other Nokia Smart phones. But i'm kind of biased because out of all the phones i've ever had or used Nokia have always been my favourite. Especially since with the N95 8GB they finally nailed a smooth running and reliable Symbian phone lol, all the older ones i've had crashed at some point.

I used a Palm Centro with PDANet for a while. Just make sure you have a tethering plan.

Thanks, I know about the tethering Plan too, boy $60 a month is a bit much, for as little use as I would use it for.

You could also connect to the internet even when on bluetooth. I've been doing this with my nokia phone. Just remember to set the setting in the phone to automatically detect your laptop bluetooth so you won't be disconnected every like five minutes. :)

I use a Nokia E61i, but I'm not in the US, so I cannot answer anything about network plans there. I do know that the US 3G network uses a different frequency. I'm not sure why, but it's different from the rest of the world. So, if your planning to buy a Nokia phone, try to research if it uses a frequency compliant to US 3G networks. I'm sure my Nokia E61i cannot connect on US 3G networks because I've researched about it before I bought it because I also travel sometimes. Check out www.gsmarena.com to see the complete specifications of phones your planning to buy. It'll really help in the long run. If you're planning to buy a Nokia phone though make sure to get one with 3.5G or HSDPA for a faster internet connection.
