    Hi,
Way new to this forum, and even notebooks for that matter, just got the 1520, and ran the free 3DMark test on it. Is 3010 a good score for my lappy?
    See my sig for specs.

3000 is pretty much right on the mark for a DDR2 8600m GT.

I'm not a huge fan of benchmarks unless comparing components side by side in some cases... As benchmarks often don't reflect real world usage...

I say base your idea on if the hardware in your laptop is good or bad on how well it performs in the tasks you throw at it. Since 3D Mark is designed to be a graphics test you should be running your favorite games. If the games run on high enough detail settings, look well, and are playable then I'd vote the machine is good. If you believe the machine isn't performing well enough in the games you play then return it and get one that does ;)

1680x1050 I think-didn't change it myself, unless the test did.

Then it was running at the correct resolution of 1280 x 1024. Not a terrible score for the DDR2 version.
