The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    3DMark05 problem with other software

    I installed 3DMark05 and it seemed to work fine at first, until I installed another program (PowerDVD, Flash Player, ESPN Motion, etc), then when I ran the 3DMark05 test again it'd crash and I got an error message...The only solution to make it work is to remove 3DMark05 and reinstall it.

    Does anyone else get the same problem that everytime you install a new program and it seems to interfere with 3DMark05 and it forces you to reinstall 3DMark05?
