Is anyone using the 355 module? Under Bluetooth Radios in the Device Manager, all I see is Microsoft Bluetooth Enumerator. I can connect to my mouse, but it works for crap.

Try using the Toshiba BT stack. It works much better than MS's driver. I'm guessing you reformated and windows automatically installed drivers?

I have the BT 350 module and my bt mouse works like a charm with the Toshiba stack. You should be able to find it on Dell's website.

Let us know if that helps.

    Cheers.

I think the 355 module uses the Widcomm BT stack, at least that was what installed from the driver I download from Dell. Can anyone confirm if the Toshiba BT stack for the 350 module will work with the 355 module?

I've installed the Dell drivers and they're even worse. The software is Widcomm but the drivers still say Broadcom. With the Dell drivers, it takes forever for my mouse to connect initially and after standby. Plus, while attempting to connect, it honks those annoying device connected/disconnected sounds about eight times.

Which mouse are you using? I'm using the Logitech v270 and I don't have any of those problems. In fact while Windows is still loading (before I can see the desktop) my mouse is responsive and works perfectly.

I'm using a Logitech MX1000. Since you have a 7800 in the laptop, I presume that you do some gaming? That is where I have the seriously annoying problems.

I had an idea yesterday: is there any reason that increasing the priority of the Bluetooth service would stop all of my random disconnects? I ask because it seems to happen when the CPU is under heavy loads.

Oh, one more question aglow: when you're laptop wakes from standby, does the Bluetooth go crazy and take forever to connect?

I do play games on my laptop and like having the graphics card that will handle the games without any problems. I've never had any issues with the mouse going crazy. I just took my laptop out of standby and the mouse connected right away and was very responsive. I've never had any issues with the mouse not responding in games either.

Do you have a bluetooth mouse? I looked at the specs for mx1000 and it doesn't appear to be bluetooth. I wonder if the bluetooth radio could be interfering with the mouse transmitter/receiver?

The MX1000 comes in a Bluetooth version with the MX5000 Bluetooth Desktop.
