How often does the 35% off coupon come out. cause if it is rare than I would like to capitalize on the $800 off coupon.

generally the $800 is going to be better than the 35% off unless you're spending a ton of money on the system...but I assume you've done the math. The 35% off coupon is unpredictable, that's the tricky thing, it could be next week it could be next month that we see such a deal. It's kind of like rolling the dice when deciding to take advantage of a deal now or wait and see what you can get.

you can do just what I did, configure your system the way you want for the 35% coupon and see what teh total comes too, then configure for the 800 dollars off coupon and see what the total comes too. Whichever gives you the best deal, take it.

For me, i first made my order with 30% off total price and 5% off accessories, then I came back online here and saw that ther was a 600 dollar off coupon for items priced at 1,599.99 or higher. So I configured my system to about 1,605.00 and applied the coupon...and the difference was HUGE! I ended up getting about 600 dollars worth of upgrades for the same exact price!

I on the other hand, I saved over $1200 with the 35% off because of all the "extras" I added - 4 year premium warranty w/complete care, Microsoft Office Professional, docking station (needed it for the 5.1 audio and legacy ports), etc.....I think you need to take the time to configure the system you want, then determine which way to purchase it.

Dell is smart, I bought up (spent more) because of the coupon, so configure accordingly.
