What does DELL put in? 32-bit or 64-bit Vista (home premium) if I order a 4gb m1530?

Dell puts in the 32-bit. If you want 64-bit, you have to do it yourself once your notebook arrives. Total RAM recognized by 32-bit Vista is 3.5GB for M1530.
-
But won't I have to buy a 64-bit version of Vista?
-
The Vista DVD it comes with will come with both the 32-bit and 64-bit versions at no cost. So if you want 64-bit, just stick in your Vista DVD that comes with your M1530 and install the 64-bit to replace the 32-bit.

Ultimate comes with 32 and 64 bit. Contact MS to get 64 bit Premium, they will ship it at ship cost only (less than $10)

Nope, the re installation disc says 32bit specifically...
Where would they fit the 64bit version on the disc?! -
Can't call them and request to have a 64-bit install instead of a 32-bit install, and a 64-bit disc instead of a 32-bit one?

To obtain a 64bit dvd of Vista follow the instructions in this thread.

As I said in Greg's thread, it's a real hassle to get them to ship an x64 disc, and I had to go through one of Dell's liasons to do it. That being said, Bill_B said to me in a PM,

Just follow that link that's in Greg's thread, they will tell you what information you need to supply. But you have to register with DellCommunity.
