    Hi all.

Does vista on the Dell's come in 32 or 64bit edition?

I got 4GB of RAM.... so if I cant use it I'm getting 64bit edition and formatting the HDD when it arrives.

Use the 32bit vista, the 64bit vista is still very buggy now.

Hmm well I guess I'll get it when it's all working good....

Thanks....Can you give examples of the bugs?

Also, are 32bit apps compatible with x64 vista?

For example, can I open the programs I use on normal 32bit?

64 is not buggy, its just vendors havent released drivers for it yet, if you try and install a driver that is not signed to prove it works with vista 64 then it will not install at all. Also you cannot install programs that install with a 16 bit installer which is not too much of a worry.
32 bit apps are compatible and you have 2 program files folders one for 32 bit and one for 64 bit, yes u can open use normal 32 bit programs.
I am using 64 bit vista ultimate now and i am very happy :)
as long as your laptop manufacturer such as dell supply drivers then you should have no problems and i would recommend getting it as it is more stable and you can use your 4 gig's of ram :)

With the PC/Xbox 360 playing at the same time, Halo2 and ShadowRun might be really good.

    I might go buy them...

Ok first off both of those games suck. expecialy H2 go read some reviews.

also im going to wait will veinna to make the switch to 64 bits. ultimatly im not going to have a choice when switching but vista is already buggy so im not going to make it even more bugy and switch to 64 bit.
