Ive got a dell inspiron 1525, ive replaced the internal wifi card with an atheros based wireless card. But i was now wondering if it was possible to put the original wireless card back in aswell. The laptop has 3 mini pci-e slots under the cover on the back but the ones remaining had wan and u?? writen on them, but i did not know if the writing was to help less computer senced people. Can i put the dell wireless card in the middle slot (WAN). As they are all mini pci-e slots or are they all not compatable with each other?

My aim is to have 2 wireless cards.

Ive got a wireless router at the bottom back of my house connected to the internet that my parents put in. Ive got a wireless router in my room at the top front of the house that is connecting my network media player and other networked equipment. But it has no internet. I would like to be connected to both networks at the same time wirelessly. Therefor needing 2 wireless cards. And as i have one spare i was wondering if i can use it. I know i could plug directly into my upstairs router and be hard wired to the network but then im not wireless.

    I had 3 mini pci-e slots

#1. Used by Intel 5100 802.11n card dual antenna
#2. Used up by 2GB Intel Turbo memory (like built in Ready Boost)
#3. Used up by HDTV Air Tuner card ATSC NTSC

    #2 and #3. I added myself.
