    hey everyone,

    I have an i9300. I have been using it since this march and i love it. But there is one thing concerns me about this laptop and that is the screen.. I have a WXGA The problem is that thhe bottom of the screen-where the plastic part is at gets hot. Like it gets little too hot i think and also the bottom of the screen is always brighter than the rest of the screen which made me think that it was a light leakage. Then i sent the laptop to the dell telling them this problem and they sent it back to me in a week saying that they fixed it but it is the same and i dont think that they even replaced the screen. Anyways my question is should be worried about that heat and the brightness...

    other question;
    I am using the I9kfangui and i think it is one of the most usefull softwares for the inspiron laptops but the version im using is 2.2.2 shuts the fans off by itself for no reason even if i have chosen the direct fan control and set it to slow....so why is it doing that?? any ideas????

    Thank u!!!!

    from what I hear the heat is normal, my 1505 does that, its disconcerting, but apparently normal, as for your fans, have you updated your bios recently?, after I updated mine I had to reset my fan control

    For your first question, that's normal. That's probably where the LCD connects to the mainboard, so it is understandable that it will get a bit warm. Many laptops are like that.
