Hi guys. My local Best Buy is having a sale and I saw that they had a 2GB stick of laptop memory for 39.99. This seemed a good deal, but I was wondering if I would see a difference at all in the performance of my games such as Crysis, Flight Sim X, etc. Right now my Dell Inspiron 1520 has a Core2 Duo T7500, 2GB (Dual Channel) DDR2 ram, and a 256mb Nvidia Geforce 8600M GT. Is it worth it to purchase this RAM? What kind of difference will I see (if any) and exactly what kind of RAM fits my notebook (Inspiron 1520).

    -Thanks!-

Yeah, for games like Crysis I would almost recommend going onto newegg and dropping $60 (I think) on 4GB of RAM. You won't get that whole last gig, but some fraction of it like .5 or .6 and having two of the same stick in your notebook should also be a bonus.

depending on what you do yes it is worth it. if you are a hardcore gamer then yes it is well worth it. or if you programs that swallow ram. other for little task like listening to music, word cpu(lol), and web browsing, then you wont see much of a performance difference
defninately and if you can switch to x64 vista or xp (i dont know what os you are running) to get the full 4gb
i think it is worth it but i havent tried a computer with 3gb of ram
    i hopped from 2gb to 4gb

speaking of the RAM, it shows on all the sites and descriptions that the RAM in the Studio 15 is the 667 MHz RAM, but my question is why does the manual that comes with the studio say its 800 MHz RAM?
