How is the Samsung 5,400 250G compared to WDC? Never had a Samsung HDD before so I am curious. Thanks.

The 250GB Samsung had some performance problems when it first came out. I believe these have been fixed although there is still an issue about an intermittent click. Search the hardware forum for HM250JI. The WD2500BEVS hasn't had any problems but I think it runs slightly warmer than the Samsung. Performance of both is very similar. I originally had the Samsung but RMA'd it because of the performance issue and replaced it with the WD which has been in use for over 6 months.

John, thanks for the info. I have a replacement 1330 here fitted with a Sammy, I simply swapped the HDD (a WDC) from the original unit and decided to ask first before shipping back the return unit.
