I've seen this mentioned several times on here...

What are the conditions? Can you just return it if you don't like it or feel you were mislead in any way? Or must something be wrong with it?

Also, is there a return fee, restocking fee or how does that work? This fan/noise is killing me, don't know if I can stand it much longer...

If there is nothing physically wrong with it, there's a 15% fee.

If something is wrong, you have to attempt to get it fixed before returning for no fee at all. The problem is that you chances of getting the laptop back after the 21 day period has passed are fairly good. If something is wrong, I'd suggest you contact customer support and just tell them the tech department was no help, and politely demand for a full refund as you don't want to have a "fixed" computer off the bat...and you are worried that if shipped back the laptop will take too long to return and you'll be stuck with it.

    Is that new?

I thought you could return it within 21 days for any reason, no questions asked? (and no re-stocking fee, either)

Call Dell support and ask them. That would be your safest bet.

    make something up
tell them that u have the cpu whine tell them that you are not happy with the screen tell them that the speakers are fuked. tell them loads of bullshits and finally tell them that you went thru the technical trouble shooting thing and your computer is still fuked. the customer service will just give u a full refund after this, since i believe the technical support and the customer service are 2 separate departments. i got a full refund for my m1210 cuz it has the CPU whine, its not something that they can check easily

I think mine has the cpu whine. It is never completely quiet. It always has some sound coming from it... My latitude never had that. Maybe its just the C2D or the faster hard drive...not sure.

    Thx.

My D820 had the cpu whine pretty bad so they sent me out another brand new system which had the same thing. I then returned both of them because it was still within the 21 day return period. It has been 13 business days since they received the return back and I still have not received my money back. They said it would take 7-14 days to get credited back. Anyone have experience with Dell returns before? How long did it take to get your account credited back?
