    Inspiron 1420 - Midnight Blue - 2ghz - 2gb ram - 128mb nvidia - 1440x900 w/TL - 160gb 5400rpm - dvd/cd burner - 2mpx webcam - vista premium.

    Order Date: 8/1/2007
    Order Status: In Production
    Est. Ship Date: 8/20/2007
    Est. Delivery Date: 8/27/2007-9/10/2007

20 days in production isnt exactly nice, and that doesnt include the shipping time. I wish dell would hurry up with the order.... Hopefully i wont get a grainy screen either, because that would be even more troublesome. :(

20 days is nothing, compared to some.

Try waiting 45 days to get your laptop. Now that would suck!

"Compared to some" there will always be someone worse than you, and that applies for all subjects. Considering that they would SHIP the laptop on the 20th, and the ETA is around 2.5 weeks afterward, i wouldnt call it "nothing". We're talking around 27 days minimum at least. It's still a bummer, even if there are worse waiting times. I wish dell would speed up :/

Yeah.... Im drolling over the unboxing pictures I see in the forum, hoping ill get mine soon. Man, this wait is killing me!

Yeah. You're right. I'm also kinda pissed at Dell for shipping some people's notebook in like 3 days.

20 days is nothing. I've waited over 30 days, and yes I'm flipping out.

with these delays exzee, 20 days would be a godsend. i ordered 7/9 and just today i went into boxing, and there are people worse off than me. yes, there will always be people worse off than others, but the shear number of people that are worse off is too large to toss them out as outliers. the outliers seem to be people with less-than-5-days build stages.

Congrats Pragun! Let us know how you like it. That way the rest of us, who are still waiting, can choose to cancel if those of you who have BEEN waiting get yours and it's not worth the wait!!! I think it will be though -- I am hoping the little bugs are getting worked out with each new one shipped --- I keep reading about bugs on the other threads!

Just called today. They will miss the ESD.... Now they said it'd be "shipping soon" because there's a delay due to the midnight blue color... :(

I just opened the laptop, and it's AWESOME. I got a SEC4457 with no graininess whatsoever. However...... DELL SENT ME A KEYBOARD IN SPANISH!!!!!!!! This is truly outrageous, i hope they can replace it in my home, because id hate to send a perfectly working laptop back to them. :(

What do you mean in Spanish? Is the key layout completely different or something?
