Is there really all that much difference between these two processors? Im talking in terms of general functionality as well as gaming. Will the 2.8 run games such as CS:CZ, UT2K4, and Half-Life 2 when it comes out at high quality? I know that all of that also depends on ram and video card...but im merely speaking of processor speeds. Thanks in advance.

The difference in cpu speed from 2.8 to 3.0 is not going to affect anything much, what will matter is the graphics engine.
