would the system get too hot with the T7700? is that why its not included in the US site? its still included in the Canada site and remains an option.

I would just get the 2.2GHz processor. I think with such a small notebook that heat will be an issue. I also hear that the difference between 2.2 and 2.4 isn't anything to worry about. Stick with 2.2, save money.

Well of course if you keep going down the line and saying something like: 2.4 is the same as 2.2, 2.2 same as 2.0, 2.0 same as 1.8...so the 2.4 is the same as the 1.8? Clearly 1.8GHz is not as good as 2.4GHz. I would pick 2.0GHz at the bare minimum especially if you are a gamer. There is not a huge difference between 2.0 and 2.2. The question lies in how much money you have. I pick 2.2GHz since I play games and I know it wont bottleneck the video card.

well I do light gaming usually wow I know there is a big difference between the 1.8 and the 2.4 what I wanted to know without the system getting really hot would there be a big difference in preformance between the 2.0 and the 2.2? I guess I should have explained it better.

not considering the price, would there be any other drawbacks to 2.4GHz in comparison to 2.2GHz? would it drain more battery? more heat?

IMO anything more than the 2Ghz isn't much needed, because you won't see it in gaming since you'll have the 8400GS and unless you rip movies and music daily and make videos a lot, you really won't need it.
