it is 1280 x 800... and in fact..if you get it in jet black you can use the $18 saved there to upgrade even further to the 1680 X 1050.

The higher resolution screen is usually worth it.

However, if you don't want the WSXGA+, I'll agree with blue wxga+

    I agree.

Isn't the WXGA+ more expensive anyway?

It's always more to upgrade to that - and aren't they both glossy, too?

i definitely do not want the 1680x1050, i dont think i will ever run it that high on games, especially the games i will be playing so i would rather keep it in the native resolution. My sales rep is giving me the color change for free too.

I'm probably gonna get the 1520, I just really like the high res for everyday activities, even though I'll probably have to drop the res for gaming because it's only an 8600M GT (older games can max, though).

1440x900 is the perfect resolution. Just $50 more than the 1290x800 but has more brightness and contrast.

Blue and 1440x900, blue looks better and has a nicer microsatin finish and the 1440x900 resolution as it is better for gaming, and you have the extra option if you want it. 1280 x 800 is the default screen size set by vista and is fine for a normal internet browsing and word processing resolution :)

If you can I'd head to a store that stocks laptops near you and try to find examples of each resolution and see which you like.

As for the lid colour, that's all your choice!

I got the black with only the 1280x800. I wanted the anti-glare more than the higher resolution because my dorm room has fluorescent lights. And trust me, I would rather run my comp at the 1280x800 (which is what I run my computer at right now with a 15 in. monitor), and have to see no lights, instead of seeing a reflection of lights on my screen, all day. I think I would go crazy.
