sorry if this is in the wrong thread. But that is what dell has replaced. I am getting quite fed up with my dimension 3000. Should I ask for a replacement? Would they give me a replacement?

*edit* I finally got a replacement system. I am getting an E310, does anybody know if that is a good system?

If it is still working and covered under warranty, probably not. If it completely dies, then they might do it, but I can't be certain on it.

The only advice I can give you would be to call them and just level with them. Tell them you're tired of having stuff replaced and ask for a replacement computer. It'll probably be a refurb, but many times they'll comply.

Freezing during the Dell logo screen usually signifies a hardware problem (or a BIOS problem but I don't really see that as possible). Therefore, there probably isn't much you can do about it.

I would reccomend you call them again. If you're persistant enough they will eventually just agree to send you a replacement just to get you off their hands. Remember not to be rude about it but to be very persistant and make it clear you're fed up (if you're rude, they are allowed to hang up on you, but they can't hang up if you're polite but persistant).
