    1) What hard drive should I go for? 160 gb 7200 rpm or 160 gb 5400 rpm SATA hard drive (I will be buying a big external one later) I am worried about heat issues so i'm not sure if i should go for the 7200.

    2) any point to get bluetooth? i don't know what I would need it for

    3) Should I go for the 9 cell or is the 6 cell battery fine?

    4) Does the 3 Year Return to Depot Service and Technical Support warranty cover everything?

    5) I plan on ordering it next week, anything big going to be coming out within the next month or so that I should wait for?

    1) 5400 rpm is fine unless you do a lot of video encoding
    2) if you dont use it, you dont need it. Some cell phones have neat bluetooth features but really, unless you really want to use a wireless headset, its not worth it.

    3) 9 cell is 3-5 hours 6 cell is 2-3 hours unless

    4) yeah, basically its a warranty
    5) Montevina is coming out, though it probably wont be in any dell products within the next two months. October maybe when the new line of inspirons come out.

What type of display did you get?

Regarding bluetooth...I don't know how much I'll really ever use it but I got the Bluetooth module on mine because it was only $20 and that way if I ever DO want to use anything Bluetooth my laptop will already have the ability to handle it.

If you've got an extra $20 to throw at it, I'd get it.

well i need it for university in september and the delivery times seem to be long so I wanted to get it soon so i would play with it over the summer and see if i like vista or if i'm going to change it to XP.

    I haven't decided on the display. Can't pick between 1440 x 900 and 1680 x 1050.

You can also use the blue tooth for a wireless mouse and key board to save USB.

Um, I think the 15" is coming out this month, 17" in June, and 14" in october

"Apparently the 1435 isn't due until October, but the 1735 is coming on June 9 and the 1535 on the 26th of this month."

    from engadget.

I think I answered this on Dells forum. Only here #2 is different.
Bluetooth is OVERRATED. No need to waste your money on it.
