I'm using 175.12 now with rivatuner 2.09 on my XPS M1530

    Overclocked my 8600MGT GDDR3 to 562/846

I have a problem when I'm playing a game for 20-40min, its GPU and memory clock dropped to 300/300 (the power saving clock, when idle), and indeed the performance became worse,

After that, the clock just stay at 300/300 fixed, unless i have to restart my laptop once and back to normal

I'm using High performance battery profile, I try to find a solution on google, found that alot of ppl has the same problem with mine,

If you want me to try out the newer version drivers like 175.70 or 175.75, I tried, it's the same

Anyone here got an overclocked M1530 has experienced the same problem?

Leave your GPU clocks, driver version, and overclock tool name.
Please help me if you know how to fix this problem..

    Thanks.. :)

Temperature maybe? Try it with out the overclock. I too have a problem of the GPU downclocking for no apparent reason with any driver newer that 174.31. I just stick to 174.12 and have no problems. It would appear, to me at least, that the drivers "think" the card is too hot and downclocks accordingly. Just my opinion though.

I dont think it's high temp and downclocking itself, it was 67-75 celcius when gaming,

if i disable overclock, then it's normal, only auto downclocking when idle and it's not fixed.

well, 174.12 or older doesnt have the problem? i will try it out later..

before i use 169.09, works fine when oveclocked, but i want to use newer version..
