Want to thank everyone for their tips an advice! Has helped a lot! If you have followed my posts it is a good indication of all the niggly problems with the 1737...have seemed to have sorted everything out from the audio issues down to the video issues! My laptop is now playing video without problems (uninstalled divix and installed Klite..seems to have done the trick) my audio problems were solved by turning of a band in my wireless card a flashing my bios...but have one last niggly issue! It seems that every time a skip a track in my wmp or fast fwd in my wmc play there is an awful high pitched distortion! it sounds like my speakers are clipping or something! My audio plays without cracking and at a great volume but that sound only happens when a song changes to another song (even if I have my player on shuffle) and happens if I fast fwd or rewind in my wmc and klite player and my wmp! Any ideas?

I would suspect that it has something to do with the sound signal being interrupted when you move from one track to another, mid-track...

Are we talking about the laptop's onboard speakers, or external speakers or headphones?

It happens with both! Whether I'm listening with external speakers or on board speakers...weird because the audio plays without any problems (Crackling/popping etc...) but if a song ends and another begins it distorts or makes a high pitched noise in the space between songs...same happens when i watch a movie..if i skip to a scene or fast fwd the audio distorts!
