 I had a question pertaining about the X-fi sound card, my question is i finally got my laptop and well I installed the soundcard and the drivers off the cd I have vista home premium but what i tend to notice is that I dont get any sound from the speakers but only through the headphone jack but if i switch to the onboard sound the speakers are back up, so i was wondering, is that normal for the x-fi card to not produce sound through the speakers and only from the headphone jack? anyone?

Yes. The X-Fi will only work with external speakers or a headphone.
