1720 anyone other???

Also got delay to 9-05 yesterday, called status line this morning and it was in build, still. Thot I'd try again just now and it said I was in Kitting!!!!!!!!!! Lordie got my fingers crossed that it's for real LOL

Hate to burst your bubble but the "kitting" stage is before the "Build" stage so you took one step backwards

 

Thot it went from build to kitting then to build, testing, boxing then ship? It's been in build since site said "In Production"

I ordered 3 white 1720s on July 24. They're all delayed well past their original ESD of 8/6, but my online order status still says 8/6. I've been in contact with my rep at Dell, but get this, the last reply I received (Monday), says the following are holding it up:

KU311- monitor..ETA is 8/27

NG409 -KIT,CBL,S-VID,CMPNT,SPDIF,WEST
1000 @08/23

Near as I can tell, KU311 is the E228WFP panel I ordered so my folks could use these on their desks easily with the belkin dock and so on. The NG409 is some cabling kit I don't care if I ever get. I've told my rep, and now another rep that all I want is some idea of why I can't get the laptop now if it's ready, or if it's not ready, what am I waiting on? No answer yet. Seems stupid, huh?

IT SHIPPED. After 46 days its on it way. I have a tracking number from DHL.

Mine got shipped!!!! Should be here tomorrow "I'm so excited"..... Looks like DHL is going to be real busy delivering the next few days... My fingers are crossed for all to get theirs soon !!!!!!

 

Mine is in my hands as we speak... it took me a little while to get onto a network though...

 

IT'S HERE!!!!! Gorgeous, the feel and look of that red lid is fantastic. I'm now trying to set-up. This is going to be major just setting up preferences etc I've never touched a laptop in my life LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Had to set-up mouse, touch pad will take some practice.. Hope y'all get yours soon and ENJOY!!!

 

I hear ya on the touchpad taking practice... it's weird typing on a laptop too, but i got everything loaded and now I'm finally enjoying it!!!

 

Glad you got yours, mine is almost the same. I already have my wireless router, bag and everything else. I need an Inspiron 1720 to go with the gear.

 

I can't wait to feel the elation of a pretty pink 1720... hopefully before my Bday in March...

My 1720 arrived on Tuesday 9/4....50 days after ordering. It has everything I ordered and the paint was in perfect condition. I want to thank all of you in the forum that gave encourgement and support during the waiting. It was nice to know that I was not alone. I hope that everyone get their machines as soon as possible and that they are trouble free.
